David Michael Lieb, AIA, NCARB Principal and Founder of LIEBSTUDIOS, brings over 20 years of diverse professional architectural practice to the firm. Since founding the firm in 1990, David’s portfolio of projects has grown including projects that invest in communities and neighborhoods. The firm is committed to providing pro bono services and volunteer efforts as part of the practice’s commitment to community and professional development.

David’s work includes: Federal Construction Management Representative services for the National Park Service; Community based Renovation and adaptive re-use projects; religious architecture; single-family and multi-family residences; assisted living and Alzheimer care residences; retail architecture and interiors;  project management; code/accessibility consulting for public works projects; and ADA expert witness consulting.

He has worked on projects in 14 U.S. States and is fluent with major building and accessibility codes and guidelines including ADA, Fair Housing, ICC/ANSI and the MAAB. Representative projects include: Hilton Senior Center Addition, Salisbury, MA; Grace United Methodist Church renovations in Lynn, MA; CM Representative services for the National Park Service at the:  Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site in Saugus, MA (Accessibility Improvements and Visitor Center and Turning Basin Restoration);  Boston national Historic Park, Charlestown, MA (USS Cassin Young Rehabilitation project, and Faneuil Hall Renovations); and the Self Evaluation and Transition Plan for Town of Framingham, MA.

In addition to architectural practice, David is a full-time Associate Professor of Design at the New England Institute of Art in Brookline, MA. David has held full-time academic appointments at several colleges and universities, has participated as design mentor for Federal Home Loan Bank’s affordable housing competition (he mentored the 1st Place team in 2007, and 3rd place team in 2009), and is an exhibiting fine artist.

Registered Architect in: Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of Maine, State of Missouri, State of Rhode Island, State of Georgia and is NCARB Certified.David oversees operations at LIEBSTUDIOS  Salem, MA home office.

J. Hunter Fleming, RA, NCARB Associate Founder and Principal brings over 23 years of professional architectural practice to the firm, specializing in public works projects, and institutional and commercial projects with a community base. The Tennessee office was opened in 2004. Recent projects have included the Gibson Guitar Plant, SMA Center for Children and Families, Memphis Academy of Health Sciences, Germantown Library, MPD Real Time Crime Center, Tunica Earthquake Museum in Mississippi, Paragon Bank Renovations in Tennessee, and numerous high end retail and restaurant projects. In addition to architectural practice, Hunter has held adjunct appointments at several colleges and universities, and is an exhibiting fine artist.

Roger W. Kallstrom, ASLA,  Adjunct Landscape Architect,

Roger is a registered landscape architect with over 30 years of diverse professional practice in multi-family housing, urban design, healthcare, and college and university campuses.  Roger advocates for built landscapes that combine the development program and site in a way that minimizes impacts, is responsive to client goals, and enhances the human experience in the built landscape.

Registered Landscape Architect in: Commonwealth of Massachusetts and maintains Kallstrom Landscape Architects (KLA) in Chatham, MA.
